THE JOURNEY TO MITSOH

Before Mitsoh, there was Native Delights—a brand built on passion, resilience, and the deep-rooted tradition of sharing Indigenous foods with the world. Native Delights began as a food cart, growing into a food truck and eventually a full-service restaurant, all with one goal: to bring traditional Indigenous cuisine, especially bannock, to the mainstream.

Founded by Ian Gladue, a proud member of Bigstone Cree Nation, Native Delights became known for its modern take on bannock-based dishes—from bannock tacos to burgers, showcasing the versatility of this traditional staple.

But the journey didn’t stop there. Ian’s vision expanded beyond a single restaurant. He wanted to restore, preserve, and share Indigenous foodways on a national scale. This led to the creation of Mitsoh—a brand focused on traditional Indigenous proteins like pemmican strips and dry meat, honouring the teachings of his ancestors.

Now, in the spirit of growth and unity, Native Delights Bannock is officially becoming part of the Mitsoh family. This means that bannock, one of the most recognizable and cherished Indigenous foods, will be available in a whole new way—through grocery stores and e-commerce, allowing more people to experience its warmth, history, and deep cultural significance.

MITSOH (‘Eat’ in Cree Nehiyaw) was founded in 2018 by Ian Gladue of Wabasca’s Bigstone Cree Nation in Alberta, Canada (Treaty 8 Territory).

A passionate chef, Ian was inspired by his mother to share traditional Indigenous foods with the world.

At Mitsoh, we're dedicated to providing amazing, authentic experiences, spreading love, and making a positive impact. We use only clean, natural, local ingredients, ensuring the highest quality, nutritionally dense products.
