Edmonton-based entrepreneur Ian Gladue is expanding his traditional First Nations dry meat business, Pansawan, across Canada. The product is now stocked in 330 stores, including major chains like Sobeys and Safeway. Pansawan, made from bison meat and smoke, follows traditional Indigenous methods passed down through generations. Gladue's innovative approach to creating a shelf-stable product without preservatives has food scientists intrigued, and he has secured approval to ship Pansawan worldwide.
